Corps ends summer on high note

A fan favorite everywhere it performed in 2010, Music City Drum and Bugle Corps capped its second season with an appearance in the DCI Open Class Finals and placed sixth with a score of 88.5. View numerous photos from Championships week by clicking HERE.

Auditions

The corps is currently accepting membership applications for the 2011 season. Anyone interested should submit the interest form available HERE. Details concerning the audition and camp schedule are still being finalized. Typically the audition camp is held the weekend after Thanksgiving Day at a school in the Nashville area and rehearsal camps for brass and percussion are held once a month throughout the winter and spring. After the initial audition camp, the color guard does not typically participate in rehearsal camps until after WGI championships.

As we are expecting more people to audition than the corps has equipment, if you can bring any of the following equipment on which to audition it would be very helpful: trumpet, mellophone, bell front baritone, bell front euphonium, bell front tuba, snare drum, tenor drum, rifle, sabre. The corps' equipment will be availalbe to anyone who needs to use it. Flags will be provided.

Fees

The membership fee for 2011 is $1,500. This fee is payable in 6 monthly installments ($250 each) from December-May and includes all instruction, housing, meals, transportation and equipment. There are no additional camp fees, uniform fees, etc. There is an application fee of $50 that is due prior to attending your first camp. This fee can be paid online (see below) or can be mailed to Music City Drum Corps, 1727 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville TN 37210. Be sure to indicate your name on the check. The application fee includes meals throughout the audition camp, instruction and a corps t-shirt.
